1)  What is UGC NET exam?
The National Eligibility Test (NET), also known as UGC NET or CBSE NET, is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level lecturership and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research.

2)How can I apply for UGC NET 2020?
Ans. To apply for NTA UGC NET 2020, students must have a post-graduation degree from a university recognized by UGC, with a minimum aggregate or percentage of 55% for general candidates and 50% in the case of reserved category candidates.

3)What is the difference between CSIR NET and NTA net?
The NTA UGC NET Exam is conducted for total 300 marks (Paper – 1; 100 marks and Paper -2;200 marks) whereas CSIR NET is conducted for total 200 Marks. The Marking Scheme for all the subjects is same in UGC NET but in CSIR NET, the marking scheme is different for each subject

4)Is UGC NET conducted twice a year?
The UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) will once again be conducted twice a year, and a two-paper exam will replace the earlier three-paper format. The cut-off age of candidates applying for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) has also been revised to 30 years from 28 years.



5)How many attempts are there for UGC NET?
. How many times can I appear for UGC NET. For JRF, only three attempts are allowed. But for lectureship of UGC NET there is no maximum number of attempts.

6)What is the pass mark for NET exam?
40%
For passing NET examination, you must require 40% marks in Paper I that is at least 20 questions in this paper should be correct. If you belong to OBC (Non creamy layer)/ PWD/SC/ST class than you need 35% to pass this paper I.

7)What is the validity of UGC NET certificate?
3 years
Validity Period: For the award of Junior Research Fellowship, the UGC NET Certificate remains valid for 3 years from the date of issue and for lectureship, it is valid for lifetime.

8)Is Jrf and PhD same?
PhD is a doctoral program, spanning a period of over four years. During this period, you will have to complete your Pre-PhD coursework, identify a unique research problem, and work towards solving it. ... JRF/ SRF are research positions. CSIR and CBSE conduct the NET-JRF exam twice a year

9)Is NET exam have negative marking?
A uniform marking scheme is followed in the exam i.e. for both Paper 1 and 2, each correct answer will fetch you 2 marks. As per the revised exam pattern of UGC NET exam, there is no negative marking for incorrect answer.

10)What is the salary of UGC NET qualified lecturer?
UGC-NET is merely a certification that makes you eligible for lectureship and research fellowship. If you clear NET-LS, you can apply for teaching positions (assistant professor) in colleges and universities throughout the country. Once you get the job, you will receive a salary of around Rs. 75,000 per month.
